I’m searching for a Flex for my next ride. I found one that ticks all the boxes (EcoBoost, 2nd row captains, appearance package), but it’s two hours away. I was looking at the auto check report and noticed a bunch of entries for “electrical system serviced” and two battery service/replacements.
Is this something routine or a simple software thing, or are they hunting gremlins? I haven’t checked it out yet or talked to a sales person, I wanted to get Oppo’s oppinion first, maybe I rule this one out...
There’s a couple entries for “vehicle body serviced”. Dents and dings or something?

sounds like a car that should have been lemon lawed...I’d stay away from this one, all those electrical gremlins will probably continue. Body service could be a door handle or molding, I doubt it’s anything body shop related.

Seems out of the ordinary, right?

A friend had a 5-Series wagon with tons of electrical issues. Hatch wiring, windows, stuff like that. Whenever he took it to the dealer for that sort of thing it showed up on the invoice as “vehicle body serviced” or just “electrical service”

It seems like it's either something they can't figure out, or everything is going wrong

That sounds about right

What’s out of the ordinary is an AutoCheck report with actual information.

Possible it just had a lot of software updates, but that usually is a sign there are issues. Not a Ford tech.

That is a bit odd, yeah. And electrical gremlins are the worst.
My wife has an EcoBoost Flex, and we love it! I modified the intake so the blow-off valves vent to atmosphere instead of recirculating back into the intake. You should see the looks I get from tuner cars when I abruptly lift off the gas and the Flex goes PSSSSSSH!

doesn’t seem, is.

Awesome! Yeah I think it's got a good mix of fun and practicality. I can see myself driving one while the kids grow up and still have some fun

We’re going to take hers to a Track Night In America event once we recover a bit from buying a house earlier this year. SCCA’s rule is that a vehicle must be wider than it is tall. The Flex qualifies. I wonder how many Miatas and BRZs we can pass...

A friend of a friend looked it up; there were 4 recalls corrected and 5 customer complaints repaired under warranty: washer pump, door latch, steering rack, evap cannister, DVD system.
